Courtney has been working on blowing bubbles for what seems to be forever. And there is a lot of frustration when she can't do it. So imagine the party at our house when she finally got the hang of it!!
And now, if anyone wants to send money for the bubble gum fund, we will not turn you down. This girl can chew! Lol!!
Happy bubble blowing :)

Trip to the Oregon Coast Aquarium
We went to the Aquarium. It was lots of fun. Here is a picture of me with a Puffin bird. Mama said that these birds were favorites of my GG and Papa, so we had to take a picture. They were pretty cute, but we couldn't get very close to them.
I really wanted to see the shark tunnel and we got to see that too. And then the Sea Lions got fed and we got to watch. They did tricks to get their food. It was fun to watch them do their show.
Here I am in the starfish picture too.
We saw all kinds of stuff at the Aquarium. And we had lots of fun.
I played on all the animals and Mama took my picture with Dada and the turtle.

Ouch!
Here is Courtney and Bunny Two Eyes waiting in the Emergency Room at approximately 10:45 pm. Ugh!We should start by saying that Courtney is fine. And we should also mention that Kate feels really really really horrible for the little trauma that was experienced.
So here goes...a while ago a framed poster that was hanging on Courtney's wall literally fell apart in the middle of the night. It was really old, Kate got it as a gift from a friend in the 8th grade, so we are talking YEARS ago! The glass piece was intact, but the frame was obviously not strong enough to hold it any longer. So Kate tucked the piece of glass behind a giant frame that was waiting to be hung in the hall way. She assumed it was protected and all would be well until we could dispose of the sheet of glass.
At any rate, you can probably guess that the glass was not as protected as we thought, and poor Courtney got to figure that out the hard way.

Here is Courtney and Bunny Two Eyes at approximately 12:45. Double Ugh!
So Courtney was playing on the couch and doing her little spider-girl routine of climbing up the walls in the hallway. She has been doing this for years, so we thought nothing of it. Then there was a thud. And silence. Not good. Silence means trouble. Finally there was crying. Big sobbing crying. And Mike picked her up and then we saw the blood. So here we are, three people wide trying to get down the hall. Mike packing Courtney, Courtney screaming, and me trying to keep my hands under Court's foot to catch the blood as we stumble down the hallway to the bathroom. To make a long story short, our bathroom looked like a crime scene, but thankfully my ever stocked first aid kit came in handy and we wrapped the foot up and were off to the hospital.
The fear of the unknown was Courtney's biggest issue as we waited in the lobby of the ER. She was not sure what would happen, so we patiently explained as best we could without freaking her out. We waited for an eternity and finally made it back to a room. The nurse was great, the doctor was great, and Courtney was freaked out. They had to numb her, and that was very painful and then they had to clean the wound and she said, between sobs, that it felt really strange. The first stitch went okay, the second one did not. So they had to pause and numb some more and then finish up the last two stitches. All in all Courtney was a trooper, but decided she did not want to go back to the emergency room anymore. We are all in favor of that.
Here is her little foot at 1:30 before they gooped and bandaged it up so they could send us home.

Her stitches which will have to come out in 7-10 days. Which will require a visit to the doctor, but hopefully because it's just the regular doctor, it won't be as freaky.
Thank you to all of you that sent messages on Facebook and called to see how she was.

Fathers Day Do Over
We didn't do a very a good job of celebrating Father's Day this year because we were on vacation with our family. So Mama helped me plan a Father's Day Do-Over!

I painted a San Francisco Giants mug for Dada cuz he likes the Giants a lot and they are from San Francisco. We also found really cool plates that say San Francisco and they kinda looks like the bridge there. Mama got him a Starbucks gift card and I picked out which card they put the money on. And then we got him the best present of all.....baseball tickets!!! I think Dada's favorite things are baseball and coffee, so we did a really good job of getting all his favorites.
We went to the Em's game tonight and had really good seats to watch all the players practice their swinging before it's their turn to bat.

We were in row 4 and I was in seat 11. That's my favorite number!! There was also a guy wearing a baseball shirt that was number 11, but he didn't play.
(He was the third base coach and we had a heck of a time explaining why he wasn't batting. She figured he should since he was wearing her favorite number and all. Another thing to note...11 is her favorite number because when she was 4 she thought it sounded like lemon, and that was a great reason to pick a favorite numner.)
And after a long time of the game we got to sing Take Me Out To The Ballgame. Mama took a video of us, but Dada and I thought she was taking a picture, so we are just smiling for most of it. Funny huh?
